An eclectic American artist based in Southern Oregon, Kitty Sallas specializes in custom design, paintings, drawings and concrete sculptures. Her creative expression is whimsical, playful, and spans across a versatile array of mediums. She loves making connections as much as she loves to make art. Through customized orders, each piece tells a story that portrays the human experience. She invites those who view her portfolio of custom pieces to appreciate that there are precious stories behind them. She also encourages viewers to consider how their own personalized art could tell their unique stories in a beautiful and effortless way.

The system Kitty has developed and implemented since 2013 to fulfill custom art orders usually leads to meaningful interactions and lifelong relationships; Kitty delights in being a social creature and sharing the joy of her creativity with new and old friends alike.

Kitty works out of a small shop on her picturesque acre property in Southern Oregon, tucked in with evergreen trees and lively woodland creatures. As a middle-aged woman who recently left a career in healthcare administration after COVID, she enjoys an intentionally balanced life of entrepreneurship and family. With the support of Jesse, her high school sweetheart since 1997, her young-adult daughter, two teenage sons, and her 2 black Labs…Kitty spends most days engrossed in making custom projects and partnering with other local artisans at maker’s markets. This website curates her adventurous portfolio with some of her varied past pieces to provide viewers an idea of the dimensionality of work she is capable of creating. This is not a storefront, it is an inspiring place to gather ideas and place an order for your own one-of-a-kind piece of art.

Artist’s statement:

“Growing up and playing the board game called Life, I always wanted the artist career card. When I would daydream as a girl, it was usually about art. However, I did not chase this dream right away. I waited ’til my early forties! I always worked steady jobs in various industries to put food on the table for my family. In all the iterations of jobs I reported to full time in the past 25 years, I had fun regardless. However, I never opened my eyes each morning to feel the excitement, purpose and fulfillment I do now that I’m leaning fully into being an artist. Thank you for being a part of my dream, I can’t wait to impress you with my art. I want to inspire awe & joy. I look forward to connecting with you. Hit me up with your ideas, I bid for free. So, let’s make something cool happen!”
